Hope of St. Joseph Shelter Inc

Holy Family Shelter started in 2020. Three pregnant girls from the streets moved into a protected home on the convent grounds and had their babies in a hospital.
At Holy Family, a house mother is there to help the moms learn to care for their babies. Holy Family can accommodate 10 girls and their babies. It wasn’t easy for them coming in from the streets but they are learning to co-operate and live together peacefully.

 Father Donato is proud to say that they are learning respect for each other, sharing the   responsibilities of cooking and cleaning and are helping each other with the care of the babies. They don’t attend a
formal school but have a sewing instructor and are learning to sew their own clothing.
